Test system
For testing the features and evaluating the performance I used my usual system:
I can say up front though that even with my backup system consisting of a Ryzen 5 1400, 16GB of RAM and an aged GTX 970, I had no problems playing the game in 1080p at high details with TAA edge smoothing enabled at a stable 60+ FPS.
Override FPS limit
To be able to judge the performance meaningfully, I have to advance a small workaround, because the game is limited to 60 frames per second by default. The whole crossplay thing in honor, but we really do not need something like that on the PC.
To override the limit, the developer console must first be activated. Actually, it is, but the corresponding button is not, so a small entry in game.xml file needs to be changed. The file is located in the directory ../Documents/My Games/FamingSimulator2022/ and can be edited by a right click and the option “Open with” and the selection Editor (Notepad).
Far down in the manageable file, there is an entry <control>false</controls> that needs to be set to true, as shown in the following image.
After saving, you should be able to open the console from the main menu by pressing the “^” key (to the left of the 1). To enter a command, the key must be pressed twice. This is how it should look for the console to accept a command.
The command to disable the limit is “enableFramerateLimit = 0”.
