The measurement and its results
First, let’s take a look at the heat development during the one-hour runtime after the first function test and a restart. The trend is clear and we get the clear results from within. However, it should be noted that two Chromas with load tests, various measuring systems and a total of 8 larger PCs were running in parallel in the room. In spite of running air conditioning it was a (constant) 27.9 °C at the measuring site, which we later interpreted as 28 °C for the sake of simplicity.
The measurement at Gamer’s Nexus was done at an ambient temperature of 21.9 °C, so that we also use a smooth value of 22 °C here for a simpler back calculation, especially since the rounded up differences are identical. The following table now shows some interesting results. If you take the comparable two APU temperatures from Aris and Stephen and subtract the respective room temperature (ambience) for each air-cooled system, you get over 9 degrees difference between the old and new PS 5 under the APU at the PCB and as much as 12.6 degrees above at the lid. We got up to 11 degrees yesterday, so we were almost in the golden mean.
The biggest difference, however, is in the RAM, where we were able to measure between an ample 6 degrees and just under 21 degrees difference when room temperature is factored in. We also measure 9 degrees less for the voltage converters compared to the colleagues from Gamers Nexus with the old PS 5. The coils are quite hot at almost 87 °C, but still safely within the range of permissible operating temperatures. The measuring point at the air outlet of just under 48 °C is within the bounds of what could be expected.

Summary and conclusion
If you compare the values measured again today with maximum transparency with those from the first review and what the colleagues from Gamers Nexus could measure with the old PS 5, then the statement made is confirmed that the new cooler even represents a clear improvement despite a lower weight, but in no case a deterioration, as some claimed. We would also like to object here to the uncollegial insinuations that have accused Aris of unclean work. With the measuring points it is like with a good demoscopy: one can determine the correct trend also in such a way and in the end we would not even have had to destroy one of these so rare and expensive unicorns for a very similar result.
