AI image processing
Topaz Labs now offers a full range of AI-based image editing tools. I’m going with Gigapixel AI here because you can use a good upscaler as well as various filters like the denoiser and sharpen.
The RTX A5000’s eager Tensor cores win by a wide margin over the Quadro RTX 6000 and Radeon Pro W6800, as well as the almost equally fast Quadro RTX 5000. The Radeon Pro W5700 is once again the taillight in the test. And by a very significant margin.
GPU Compute
Finally, I have two compute applications, Caffe and Folding at Home, where again CUDA and OpenCL are pitted against each other. The older Radeon Pro W5700 brings up the rear as usual, and at FAH you can still see the advantage of the NVIDIA cards, which isn’t as visibly reflected at Caffe, which sees the RTX A5000 sandwiched between the two older Quadros.
