Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for Nvidia LDAT
When it comes to measuring latencies and the associated Nvidia-owned developments like Reflex, you should already take a critical look. Finally, the latencies are measured with a tool developed by Nvidia such as LDAT. At this point, the ultra-critics could now make their grand entrance. Doubt everything, especially when one or two people have a grudge against Nvidia. I’ve prepared something for all those critics.
Since I work in the automotive industry, when in doubt, a measurement is only credible if there is an MSA. Anything else would not affect me in doubt. Here the aim is to prove that the measuring equipment used is capable. After all, it’s supposed to measure what you want to measure. And that reproducibly! Otherwise, if you measure a lot, you measure crap!
What exactly is an MSA?
Simply explained, an MSA shows whether the measured values adequately reflect reality. By means of an MSA it is ensured that the measurements can be reproduced with the same measuring system – no matter where in the world. If you want to know more: click here! I then examined the measured values with an ANOVA. The null hypothesis: all variances are equal! If this is confirmed, then it means that reproducibility is given. No matter where you take the measurements in the game. That doesn’t mean you’ll get the same readings I did. Why this is in doubt is due to various other factors. For example, whether there is a CPU or GPU limit, etc. We’ll keep the CPU limit topic in mind. I’ll get to that later. For the analysis of the data I use the program Minitab in version 18.
The p-value is greater than 0.05. Thus, my hypothesis that all variances are equal has been confirmed. Nvidia LDAT can measure reproducibly!
The measuring system capability for LDAT is given: Cgk ≥ 1.33

On a personal note. I basically belong to the group: “I doubt that”! But just whining and making unreflective assertions doesn’t get anyone anywhere. Sitting down and measuring, that helps to bring clarity. So give my regards to all the hardcore critics: LDAT is beyond reproach!
