Gaming performance in QHD – 2560 x 1440 pixels
The card performs about 4 FPS more than AMD’s RX 6900XT with the normal BIOS 2 on normalized average. Incidentally, the board partner card was only tested with SAM activated, as the effort for both measurements would have been too high. The GeForce RTX 3090 FE is narrowly beaten here and if you switch to BIOS 1, the gap to the GeForce RX 3090 FE is even larger.
Expressed in percentages, it looks like the card is only 0.4 percent ahead of the GeForce RTX 3090 FE with BIOS 1, but the lead grows to about 2 percentage points with BIOS 2.
Gaming performance in UHD – 3840 x 2160 pixels
The GeForce RTX 3090 FE can narrowly hold its own in the sum of all games in Ultra HD, here the Radeon falls a bit short as expected. Infinity cache, hit rate, and only marginal impairment. But you can’t argue that away either.
The card with BIOS 1 is about 3.5 percentage points behind, with BIOS 2 only 2.5 percentage points. So it’s really close.
But you can read on the next page how much more power consumption this new advantage is linked to in total.
