At a higher resolution, we now see two highly interesting things. Without rBAR On, both CPUs act effectively the same speed and the graphics card becomes the intended bottleneck, not the CPU. It is therefore the best prerequisite to test the difference with activated rBAR now! Now, for the first time, we also see that the Ryzen 9 3900XT does support the feature, but the native implementation has an advantage over the partial firmware implementation! The difference is really visible, as the Ryzen 9 3900XT’s gain is only half of what is possible with the Ryzen 9 5900X.
Again, the FPS trajectories are close together, especially without rBAR.
The percentiles are also still without surprise as a curve.
The frame times as curves are all well and good, but you can’t really tell much.
With the frame times as a bar chart, on the other hand, it becomes very clear and for the first time it even shows the difference between the supposedly equally fast CPUs without rBAR.
However, the picture is not as clear in the variances, where the Ryzen 9 5900X with rBAR On is even behind. However, variances in this small area are hardly disturbing or visible.
