Battlefield V in first optics comparison: RTX Off versus RTX On from Normal to Ultra with HiRes images and video

Division of labour is a nice thing, especially when your system has to be "persuaded" manually for the 1809 update of Windows and you are unfortunately not one of those who have been pampered with pre-keys. But better late than never and together with colleagues, working and playing is twice as much fun. This is written by someone who hardly finds time to play really enjoyable, unfortunately.

Only the comparison of the modes RTX OFF, Normal and Ultra shows real differences! The Low and High modes are far too similar to the other two, with almost identical performance. The only measurable and noticeable power and optics difference is between OFF, Low/Normal and High/Ultra settings.

Without ray tracing, the reflections are rather thin, but still present. In Normal (as in Low) the raytracing also shows the player character, but also the entire set behind it. We find that damage to body paint reduces reflections in some places. In Ultra, the result is really very similar. However, the reflections appear a little more dense and the damage in the varnish blurs the reflections less abruptly, alo mer smooth.

The gallery with blending effects shows this very clearly when scrolling:
