Special: Battlefield V in great detail test with the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080, RTX 2070 and RTX 2060 | igorsLAB

If you're wondering why we're only now bringing this article to Battlefield V, be reassured - I didn't like the whole hickhack about patches and drivers personally. Especially since the almost completed first article actually became a waste overnight, just because the patch was in the house. So it was again said to get everything back to zero and again eyes to and through...

Test in QHD with 2560 x 1440 pixels

You can even play in QHD resolution with the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, because in the settings with "Low" or "Normal" you are loosely at 60 FPS and in places even significantly more. The whole thing works even in "High" and "Ultra". An interesting circumstance is that the decrease in the average FPS achieved at higher quality settings does not go with an adequate reduction of the minimum FPS.

Now let's look at the corresponding curves of all quality levels for the FPS, the percentiles: and the frame time:

Now let's break down the frametime gradients for each setting separately:

The variances now show us the quality of the transitions by analyzing the different rendering times of successive frames. The higher the variance, the more visible the difference becomes, which can be perceived as a jerk or jump from a certain size and accumulation:

The "Unevenness" index shows once again the simulated immersion, where it is mainly about the smoothness of the smoothness. Problems? No!

Test in UHD with 3840 x 2160 pixels

The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is the most powerful consumer card with ray tracing support from NVIDIA and is of course designed for QHD and 4K definitions. Let's see if hybrid rendering on this map is still possible at acceptable frame rates.

So it is quite possible to set Battlefield V in 4K with all options to Maximum and play RTX Off. And all this with a decent frame rate. However, if you enable ray tracing, the number of frames per second decreases dramatically, but you stay on average at "Low" or "Normal" more than 50 fps and beyond that on average more than 40 fps.

Above all, the RTX 2080 Ti never falls below the 44 fps in "Low/Normal" and remains at over 35 fps in "High" and "Ultra". This is even liquid in the presentation within certain limits, but of course everyone can see this differently – especially with shooters. Now let's look at the corresponding curves of all quality levels for the FPS, the percentiles: and the frame time:
