Hi,
I am failing to update Gigabyte 5700 XT. The same procedure updates the BIOS on MSI cards with no problem. I follow the instructions on Igors Lab.

The sign of having trouble with the card bios flash shows in GPU-Z. After flash using amdvbflash the values of GPU and memory frequencies is empty. With stock bios there are Mhz frequencies.

Is there any known problems with flashing Gigabyte cards?
Any suggestions on what other forums I may ask for assistance?
Is it possible that the OEM bios is signed, and any modified bios will be rejected?
If the bios is signed, any tools to resign, or would I need to buy a card from a different vendor?

Thanks,

Alley Cat

That is my plan, but on my rx580 rig TRM use little more power than PM and I have cables with sata connection. I'am affraid use sata on risers with 5700xt. Soon I will get molex-6pin and try trm. Thanks.
I highly recommend using TeamRedMiner instead of PhoenixMiner for real hashrate and far better performance to power ratio.

Sata ain't the problem, the solution is divided cables through risers, because with more power more heat in the cables. I think if the cables were more thick, you shouldn't have problems with heat.

I think you can use the green kernel by setting the --algo ethash. Read the usage.txt instructions in github page.

@Mini_Me The msi rx 5700 xt mech version, do you have any experience with them? Are they good? I guess it must be better then asus... what's your opinion?

When comes to MSI then their gaming version cards are one of the best cards, the mech and evoke ones are still decent however you need to buy the second patch when MSI fixed and improved the thermal pads.

Greetings For everyone who is mining with 5600 XT please do enable the below that may enable you to achieve more than 50 MH/s at memory clock 900 MHz,

- Under Feature Control, set:
DPM_GFX_PACE: Check (Enable)
ACDC: Check (Enable, to activate compute mode for mining)
