Hi all, anyone has experience in mining using this GPU brand and model? stock settings it reach 49MH / s on Ethereum but high power usage, overclock / undervolting with same settings I use for my other 5700 XT keeps it at 94w but 48MH / s so still low, would love if anyone can share ready bios or guide to increase hashrate.

thanks!

Hi and welcome,

Please follow the guide in the kindly attached link below,

Thank you kindly, is it safe to download the existing rom from the GPU or do I need an unlocked version?

After modifying the backup vbios and reflashing it, if you get a black screen that is mean it is locked (secured) and I will unlock it for you.
thank you, here is the original bios for ASRock Challenger 5700XT, downloaded using hiveos

update: it worked, many thanks @Mini_Me , it was risky to try without having dual bios but I just did your procedure on the original bios and it worked, before flashing though I just did an amdvbflash -unlockrom since I saw in a video but not sure if it mattered

2nd update: first oc settings was same as the guide (1415 MHz, 790 or 800 mV : 935 (1870/2) MHz, 875 mV, 1350 mV, ~57.10 MH/s,) but immediately kept getting invalid shares, tuned down to the 54MH setting for now so far its ok, appreciate if anyone has insight

To solve the invalid share, you can increase the VDD by 10 or 20 mV.
